A WORLD OF PATTERNS
A world of patterns, where architecture speaks to the deep-down need of individuals to shape their world, to carve meaning into the dust. We see ‘em, we need ‘em—lines and forms spinning ‘round like an old tune. They make us, we make them, a dance older than time
A WORLD OF CONSTANT MOVEMENT
A world of constant motion, where architecture flows with the wind, always ahead, never stopping. Change lingers behind, a shadow just out of reach, true like ice, like fire.– Is change ever ours to grasp?
– No. It moves, we follow.
A WORLD OF DIVISION
A world of division, where the only thing we don't agree on is to agree. We're too far gone to change course, yet too entangled in our own inertia to stop. Suspended in this fractured momentum, we race ahead without a direction, trapped by the very motion we’ve set in motion.

HVAC FACILITY AND JAZZ CENTER
MIXED USE PERFORMANCE FACILITY
This building, located at 656 W 125th St, New York, addresses the deep political divisiveness that
has gripped America in recent years. The massive staircase cutting through its center represents
the fracture within society, visibly disrupting the continuity of the structure. This break isn’t just a
formal choice but a reflection of how conflict has torn apart the social and political fabric. Yet, the
building goes beyond reflecting division; it challenges architecture to play a role in bridging these gaps. The jazz auditorium within serves as a counterbalance to the disruption,
symbolizing a space where cultural exchange and collective expression thrive. Jazz, born from
diversity and struggle, offers a unifying force in a divided landscape.
The building’s raw materials—concrete, steel, and glass—do not hide the division,
but expose it, creating a stark, unembellished space that invites engagement.By confronting the cracks in society, this design suggests that architecture can
provoke reflection and even foster connections amidst a fragmented world.

Modular Harmony
Community Center with an Integrated Church
The project aims to redefine architectural design by utilizing modular parts and shapes.
The concept revolves around assembling these diverse components in various configurations to
create a vibrant and joyful structure. By experimenting with different combinations,
the design achieves a playful and colorful aesthetic, departing from conventional architectural forms. Each element of the building is a unique shape that can be
rearranged to form different components. These components are then combined in multiple
ways to produce a dynamic and engaging design. The approach emphasizes
versatility and creativity, resulting in a structure that is both functional and visually stimulating. The final design is a community center and church that serves as a
landmark of innovation and unity. Its modular and colorful nature not only
enhances its visual appeal but also fosters a sense of togetherness and
excitement within the community, offering a fresh perspective on architectural design.

FROM PARTS TO STRUCTURE
The process begins with individual parts and shapes, which are then assembled into various modules.
These modules are combined to create a vibrant and cohesive final building.

Casa Na Arvore
Porto, Portugal
The main purpose of this project is to serve the community by offering individuals a free of charge space, which also serves as an after-school program, where they get to connect with their peers, engage in exercise, and focus their time on healthy activities that attempt to keep them away from diverting into unfavorable situations. Moreover, one of my main ideas when creating this community center was also for it to deflect completely from the typical public building. Instead, I intended to offer a sense of relaxation, elegance, and dynamic. This, to inspire both adults and younger generations to stay on track with their personal lives in order to attract similar situations as the one they experienced at this location.Meanwhile, I also took a great deal of care to purposefully utilize every single space available, taking full advantage of both horizontal and vertical spaces, as it can be seen by the unusual placement of areas, such as the green spaces, which are located on the outer part of the second floor. Consequently, not only does this project make a social difference for the community, but it also improves its ecosystem considering how there are more than 8,000 square feet solely dedicated to the expansion of natural spaces.Overall, this idea is meant to improve, in multiple aspects, the quality-of-life locals receive by offering an edification which improves their environment, promotes physical health, teamwork, and stimulates individual’s perspectives on beneficial situations.

BELONGING VOID
QELESHE INSPIRED PAVILLION
The pavilion design takes inspiration from the traditional qeleshe or plis, a cultural headpiece commonly worn in Kosovo and Albania Its rounded, semi-spherical form is multiplied and adapted to fit the rectangular site, with unnecessary corners removed for preci-sion. The interior of each semi-sphere is hollowed out, leaving only the silhouette, creating an open structure where visitors can walk beneath the pavilion.

Hollowed forms echo tradition, shaping space through absence.

Resilient Cultural Tribute
The qeleshe-inspired pavilion’s curved concrete walls feature engraved traditional symbols from Albania and Kosovo, blending cultural heritage with modern architecture. Inspired by the region’s damaged castles, these engravings symbolize resilience through centuries of conflict, transforming the structure into a contemporary tribute to history and identity.

The shape where the semi-circular volumes of the pavilion connect forms an ideal space for rainwater collection. This design element uses the structure's geometry to direct water
Two water storage tanks are placed underground, connected by a filtration system This allows rainwater to be collected and stored for use, ensuring an eco-friendly solution

A Reckoning with Division
A fracture runs through the world, not just in borders or beliefs, but in the very fabric of how we exist together. This is not a clean break but a jagged, unresolved tear—one that deepens with every echo of discord. Yet within the rupture, there is a question: does the divide merely widen, or can the space between become something else entirely? A reckoning, a confrontation, a bridge—if such things are still possible.

Does the divide merely widen, or can the space between become something else entirely?
The Divided Ascent
The staircase stands as both a symbol of hope and division—its ascent offering the possibility of connection, while its sharp breaks expose the gaps between us, forcing us to confront the distance we must bridge.

Between Division and Possibility
It is neither absence nor mere separation but a charged void, a place where conflict lingers and possibility stirs. In this uncertain space, the choice is laid bare—widen the divide, or transform it into something new.

A striking feature of the facade is its series of individual, vertical thin panels, each facing completely opposite directions. Not a single panel aligns with another, creating a chaotic yet deliberate arrangement. This intentional misalignment serves as a metaphor for the fragmented state of society, where individuals hold steadfast to their own perspectives, unwilling to engage or find common ground with those who differ.

THE TAPE OF TIME
THE DELICACY OF EXISTENCE
Existence, viewed through the lens of randomness, is both fragile and enigmatic. The universe, vast and indifferent, offers no guarantees of purpose or meaning. As Christopher Hitchens notes, “Our place in the cosmos is so unimaginably small that we cannot, with our miserly endowment of cranial matter, contemplate it for long at all.” While we can observe and influence the world, our minds are too limited to grasp its full magnitude. We are fleeting actors in a cosmic play governed by forces beyond comprehension. This fragility is stark in evolution’s randomness, exemplified by Pikaia, an ancient vertebrate from over 500 million years ago. Amid the Cambrian explosion, it was one of the few to survive while countless species vanished. “If Pikaia does not survive in the replay, we are wiped out of future history—all of us, from shark to robin to orangutan,” says Stephen Jay Gould. By sheer chance, this unremarkable creature laid the foundation for vertebrate evolution, including humans. Its survival underscores life’s delicate balance, a reminder that our existence hinges on the improbable whims of an indifferent universe.

We are fleeting actors in a cosmic play governed by forces beyond our comprehension.

CHAOTIC CONTINUUM
In this context, abstract, futuristic structures placed within the streets of old New York take on a new meaning. The juxtaposition of these two seemingly disconnected worlds—one grounded in history, the other in speculation about the future—mirrors the randomness and fragility of our existence. Like the random survival of Pikaia, the creation of these structures is an arbitrary event within a vast, chaotic continuum. The stark black-and-white zigzag patterns—representing the unpredictability and randomness of life—thread through the composition, symbolizing how one moment can shape the next, yet nothing is certain. As abstract, futuristic forms rise against the backdrop of a city that is itself a product of history’s chaotic randomness, the collages reflect the ever-shifting nature of time, existence, and meaning. These imagined structures are not meant to offer answers but to provoke contemplation of a world that, despite its fragility and uncertainty, continues to evolve, driven by forces beyond our understanding.
In life's randomness lies freedom—the uncertainty that allows choice, change, and the possibility of meaning.
THE TAPE OF TIME
Life’s trajectory is not inevitable but a chain of contingent events, challenging our notion of progress. If the “tape of time” were rewound, Pikaia’s survival would be unlikely, a single shift altering everything. This randomness defines existence—species, civilizations, and history shaped by chance. We are the product of countless accidents, each insignificant in its moment yet profound over time. This contingency exposes the limits of human understanding. We seek order, but life is chaotic, its path unpredictable. Evolution is not a steady ascent but a jagged series of fluctuations—some leading to progress, others to ruin. Progress is never assured, and the future remains as uncertain as the past.

NOTHING IS REAL

The story of Pikaia is a reminder that we are the products of a random, unpredictable universe. Our place in the world is not the result of divine design or predetermined destiny, but rather the outcome of countless accidents and contingencies. The survival of one small creature, against all odds, set in motion the intricate web of life that would eventually lead to humans. This randomness, though unsettling, is also what makes life extraordinary. In its fragility, its impermanence, lies its deepest significance. We are not here because of a grand plan, but because, against all odds, we survived. And in that survival, we have the opportunity to create meaning, to shape our own path, and to reflect on the fragile, random nature of our existence.
THE ARCH OF WAR
WHEN HOPE HAGS ON A SINGLE BREATH, CAN WE RISE BY FACING DEATH?
The Arch of War is a speculative architectural project that confronts the enduring tension between war and peace, using the Israel–Palestine conflict as its point of departure. The project envisions a monumental arch—spanning thousands of feet and rising hundreds tall—constructed entirely from metal scraps and debris left by bombardment. Positioned, metaphorically, directly over the border between the two territories, the arch transforms the symbolic gesture of crossing into an act of risk, endurance, and personal sacrifice. To cross the arch is not simple transit—it is a dangerous climb, a metaphorical trial by fire. The structure challenges the assumption that peace can always be negotiated through diplomacy alone. Instead, it asks: Do we really want peace? If so, what are we willing to risk for it?

It is only when we are shaken out of our habits that we are able to change and grow. What if, to make things better, to enable people to cope creatively with the traumas of change, we have to make things more difficult, more risky, less secure? How often have architects dared to do that?

CONCEPTUAL PROVOCATION
Though never intended to be built, The Arch of War is a conceptual provocation. It turns the traditional symbols of connection—arches and bridges—into obstacles that test the will for reconciliation. Ultimately, the project transcends the Israel–Palestine conflict, becoming a universal meditation on the fragile and often painful pursuit of peace.

WALKING IN BETWEEN
BUNGALOW COURTS AND THE ART OF LIVING IN BETWEEN
In the grand spectacle of existence, life presents itself as a perpetual dance between chaos and order. This interplay between opposites has captivated humanity’s interest for thousands of years and has expressed itself through countless songs, paintings, books, plays, conversations, and buildings, prompting reflections on the structures — both literal and metaphorical — that frame our experiences. This project emerges from that very tension. It explores how architecture can embody both stability and spontaneity, permanence and change. By reinterpreting a historic housing typology through a contemporary lens, the work asks:How do we create places that allow for both individual sanctuary and unpredictable social encounter? How can typology act as a framework, but leave room for the unexpected? From ancient Greek philosophy’s notion of cosmos emerging from chaos to quantum physics’ delicate balance between probability and precision, this tension remains central to how we understand the world and our own lives

CHAOS AND ORDER
Bungalow courts promote order through their repetitive, ritualized layouts. Though styles vary—Spanish Colonial, Craftsman, Tudor—the structure stays the same: mirrored homes forming a controlled, protected space. In contrast, the shared central space is unpredictable. It changes in size, purpose, and design—from car-focused to pedestrian-friendly. Stepping into it means leaving your private bubble and entering the unknown.
How can we translate the principles of the bungalow court into a contemporary vertical framework?

This idea is crystallized in the central sculptural element — a twisting vertical structure that houses circulation, pauses, and moments of reflection. A stair climbs through it like a snake wrapping around a tree, revealing and concealing paths as it weaves upward. The stair is not just a connector, but a metaphorical journey through life’s stages, embodied in the platforms and architectural gestures encountered along the way.

An Evolving Center
In this typology, the social void — this core of orderly chaos — becomes both the physical and emotional center of the building. And it is never the same twice. A different architect could design it elsewhere and it would manifest differently. That’s the point. A different group of people could live within it, and it would evolve in a new direction. That’s the point.

Living with Contradiction
Ultimately, this project is not just a housing typology. It is an architectural proposal for living with contradiction, that has been and should continue to be used: balancing repetition and uniqueness, structure and openness, solitude and collectivity. It proposes that even in a world where space is limited, simplicity must be evident and constraints are many, architecture can still honor the full complexity of human life — not by resisting chaos or drowning in order, but by embracing the battle between the two of them.

Unlike typical multi-family housing, where individuality is confined behind walls and community often feels manufactured, this typology reorients the idea of identity. Here, the individuality lies not only in each unit, but in the collective behavior of its residents. The social zone, if the typology is replicated elsewhere, allows for architectural flexibility — it can be tailored, adjusted, designed, reshaped, redesigned depending on who lives there and what they need. In one iteration, it might serve as a series of gardens or informal gathering spots; in another, it might become a playground, a gallery, or a vertical park. This, ideally, gives “power” not only to the architect to design, but also to the residents to propose their needs and wants. Even if the scenario that the building is replicated identically elsewhere, the center — the space of chaos — is always different. Because people are different. Routines are different. What binds them together is not a fixed formula, but an adaptable scaffolding for life.

HERITAGE MEETS INNOVATION
This design for a contemporary project in Morocco harmonizes modern innovation with the country's rich cultural heritage. Drawing inspiration from the intricate geometry, arches, and ornamental details of traditional Moroccan architecture, the design reinterprets these elements to create a structure that is both timeless and forward-looking. The building's contemporary aesthetic celebrates Morocco s identity, subtly quoting historical motifs to forge a connection between past and present.

ECOSUSTAINABLE CULTURAL EVOLUTION
Central to the design is its commitment to environmental performance Ground rainwater collection systems are seamlessly integrated into the site to maximize water conservation, addressing Morocco's arid climate On the roof, solar panels are strategically positioned to capture abundant sunlight, providing clean, renewable energy to the building. These features not only reduce the structure's environmental footprint but also align with Morocco's national goals of sustainability and resource efficiency.

Windcatcher towers oriented towards Northwest for the predominant winds.Ground rainwater collection systems are seamlessly integrated into the site as trough that ripple out from the building. The slope of the site drains the water through the troughs to catchment basin on the Northeast dorner of the site.

This design also places a strong emphasis on creating meaningful spaces that foster community engagement and cultural exchange. The building incorporates open courtyards and shaded walkways reminiscent of traditional Moroccan medinas, encouraging social interaction and providing respite from the sun. These communal spaces are adorned with native plants and locally sourced materials, reinforcing a sense of place while promoting sustainability. The interplay between private and public realms ensures that the structure not only serves its functional purpose but also becomes a vibrant hub that reflects Morocco’s enduring spirit of hospitality and togetherness.

REINTERPRETED TRADITION
"...they didn't ask for anything. They simply were."
THE ARRIVAL (SHORT STORY)
The sky split open, as though nature itself was forced to yield to an alien logic. Down came the ships—those towering, beautiful creations—each one a testament to some mind far beyond human comprehension, yet paradoxically, familiar in their structure. They were like us: sleek, precise, engineered. But their beauty, their cold, indifferent beauty, repulsed us, even as we longed to bask in it.The ships entered Earth’s atmosphere, a quiet invasion—a breach of a world that had once believed itself alone in the vast expanse of space. The rockets seemed almost deliberate in their descent, their silence more deafening than any roar. Something was coming. Something we weren’t prepared for.

The ships touched down, and the world held its breath. They didn’t simply land; they settled. They didn’t merely arrive; they claimed the Earth as their own. The aliens had no need for treaties or permissions. Their ships, elegant and cold, unfolded like flowers blooming in reverse, revealing vast, shining structures that seemed to grow out of the very ground itself. They didn't ask for anything. They simply were. The people watched from a distance, awe mingling with a simmering unease. From towering windows to sprawling fields, the aliens began to build, erecting their own cities, staking their claim on the land as though they had always been here, as though they had belonged here long before the first human ever set foot.On the streets, people stood in stunned silence, unsure whether to welcome the visitors or to fear them. The gentle hum of their presence rippled through the air, not with the arrogance of conquest, but with the quiet certainty of those who had always planned to be here. This wasn’t just an invasion—it was an assimilation. And as the streets began to fill with the sound of alien language, the people couldn't help but wonder: was this the end of their world, or was it the beginning of something they couldn’t yet understand?

The humans fell into two camps. On one side, the nationalists cried out: “They’re here to take our jobs, our homes, our culture!” They feared that these otherworldly visitors would strip the planet of its resources, its identity. On the other side, a new faction grew—those who saw the aliens as salvation. "They know what we don't," they said. "They will lead us to a brighter future."The divide was sharp, brutal, and immediate. As the first political rallies erupted, the rhetoric began to take shape. Was this the beginning of something new, something extraordinary? Or would humanity be swallowed whole by its fear of the unknown, forever clinging to the past? Each side had their own answers, each clung to their own belief. And yet, neither could see the deeper truth unfolding beneath it all: it was never about the aliens. It was about the ever-present human desire to believe in something, someone, to guide them through the chaos.
VOTE FOR ME
“Vote for me,” Zorath declared in one of the most iconic images from the campaign. "And the aliens will leave Earth!"The words hung in the air, pregnant with hope and contradiction. The promise was so simple, so perfectly tailored to the desires of the crowd, yet there was something painfully false about it. The aliens were never going to leave. They never had any intention of leaving. But the lie was the hook, the bait that would reel in the masses. Fear had done its work—fear of change, fear of losing control—and now, hope would take its turn. And Zorath, with his cold, calculated grin, knew that this was all it would take. The promise that could never be fulfilled would become the reason the people voted, the reason they chose. For the first time, they weren’t voting for a future—they were voting for a story they desperately wanted to believe.

"...they were voting for a story they desperately wanted to believe."
